Obituary

RICHLAND - Florence P. Amack, age 85 of Prosser, entered into rest on September 18, 2007 at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, WA surrounded by loved ones. She was born on May 18, 1922 in Mildred, Colorado to John and Jessie Illinois (Custer) Kibel. She met Carl William Amack, the love of her life. They were married on September 22, 1940 in Alma, Colorado. Together, they roamed from state to state, having a total of eight, children, almost all born in different states. They settled in Prosser in 1963. Upon the death of Florence's husband in 1996, she moved to the Tri Cities where she continued to reside until her death.

Florence enjoyed attending the Senior Center programs in Richland, collecting pictures, playing cards (especially pinochle), bingo and going to the casino. She was a member of the Kennewick Valley Grange. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a heart of gold. She turned her back on no one and guests were always welcome in her home. At her table, she didn't have much but what she had she shared, even with the hobos that lived down by the river. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and taking care of them, especially her grandchildren, with compassion and love.

Florence is survived by her children, Ruthie Grady of W. Richland, Norma Bender and husband Miles of Prosser, Lawrence Amack and wife Tomoko of Japan, Loren Amack & wife Rose of Prosser, Randy Amack & wife Cha of Kennewick, Beverly Crow and husband Michael of W.
