Dorothy Rae Randall Kiser, a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2009 in Sandy, UT.

Rae was born on March 9, 1931 in Monticello, UT to Wilford Anderson and Thressa Eldora Lewis Frost.

She was the fifth of six children. Her cousin, Lucy, also joined the family as an adopted daughter.

She attended elementary and high school in Monticello. She was the editor of the school newspaper and student body president her junior year. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1949 and then attend Brigham Young University from 1949 to 1950.

In 1950, she met Earl Larson Randall, whom she married in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on August 18, 1950.

They had seven children: sons Vance and Kay, and daughters Lauana, Marlene, Holly, Joy, and Debbie.

She was an active member of the LDS Church her entire life. She served in a variety of callings in Primary, Young Women and Relief Society.

She and her husband, Earl, later served an LDS mission at the Independence Missouri Visitor’s Center from 1995 to 1996. This mission as a couple was one the highlights of her life.

She will be best remembered for her zest for life, her resourcefulness, the nurturing care she provided her family, her devotion to the Savior, and working hard alongside of her sweetheart in the fruit orchards and vegetable gardens of the family farm in Montezuma canyon.

Her beloved husband, Earl, passed away on July 23, 2003. She later remarried H.B. Kiser in the Monticello LDS Temple on November 12, 2005. H. B. has also graced her life with joy and appreciation.

She is survived by her husband H.B. Kiser; children Vance (Kristine), Kay (Laura), Lauana (Jim), Marlene (Randy), Holly, Joy (Richard), Debra (Rick); brothers Wendell (Afton), Harold (Erline), and sister Erma; 35 grandchildren and 32 great-grand children.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters who died at birth and her adopted sister, Lucy; her husband Earl; daughter-in-law Vickie H. Randall; and two grandsons, Curtis Vance Randall and Joshua Harris.

Her funeral was held on May 14, 2009 in the Monticello LDS Stake Center. Bishop Jack Brewer conducted the funeral service. Interment was in the Monticello City Cemetery.
