Harlo Nielson Randall, age 80, much loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away at home on Thursday, September 6, 2007.

Harlo was born in Kaysville, Feb. 27, 1927, the seventh child of 11 to Orrin LeRoy Randall and Huldah F. Nielson. He lived in Kaysville, Centerville, and Bountiful. After graduating from Davis High School, Harlo enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and served in World War II. He was a truck driver and later worked as an analyst for the Utah Department of Transportation, retiring after 27 years.

He married Donna May Clark on January 7, 1955 in Milton, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as scoutmaster, ward clerk, member of the Elder Quorum and Young Men presidencies, and as a faithful home teacher.

Family and neighborhood gatherings were important to him. Times with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were particularly cherished. Harlo loved his roses and took great pride in caring for his yard. He appreciated the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping with his family and friends. In his later life, he enjoyed sitting in his front room looking out at the mountains.

Survived by his wife, Donna, of 52 years; children, Jay (Donna), Joan Stahle (Paul), Linda Ledingham (David), Terry (LeaDawn), and Hal; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Joy Hogan, Orrin, Rozalee Mann, Grant, Deon and Edith Garrett. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Rex, Von, Gem and Mar.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2007 at the Bountiful 58th Ward Chapel, 200 North 200 West. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m at the church prior to services.
