According to Chute, he "was a corporal in Capt. Giles Russell's company, in the Havanna Expedition, under Admiral Pocock, and Lord Albermarle. He m. __ __, settled in Horton, N. S." Crowell states the same as the first sentence from Chute almost verbatim, but then gives Ichabod's wife and other details. Crowell gives Eaton's "History of King's County [N.S.]" as a reference. New Englanders didn't come up to Horton and area till the 1760's, so it would appear that Ichabod moved here after his family would have grown up.
