Our sister, aunt and friend Mary Eliza Evans, at age 84, died on Friday, March 26, 2004. She will be missed by friends and family but we know she is now in a much better place.

She was born to George Henry Evans and Margaret Baird on April 16, 1919 in Lakefork (Upalco), Duchesne County, Utah. She grew up with her family in the Uinta Basin and later moved to downtown Salt Lake City working many long hours on family history research and serving the Lord and her family.

Survived by brothers Doyal Evans of Holiday and Harley (Jean) Evans of Farmington and by 13 nieces and 20 nephews. Preceded in death by brother Ardon Evans and sisters Bessie Lusty and Ellen Hawkins, sisters-in-law, Rulene Evans, Ruth Evans, and Winnie Evans, brothers-in-law Scott Lusty and Arthur Hawkins, and two nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Farmington Utah Summerset Chapel, 1885 N. Summerwood Dr. (800 West). Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the home of Harley Evans, 713 Springwood Dr., Farmington, Utah and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
