LAYTON--William (Bill) Randall Layton, age 71, passed away Thursday, February 25, 1999.

He was born July 14, 1927 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Marwood David and Myrtle Randall Layton. He was reared and educated in and was a life long resident of Layton, UT.

He served in the Army during World War II. After military service he was a partner with his father in Layton Painting and Decorating Company, and then became a full owner when his father passed away. He stayed active in his business up until the last several years.

Bill is survived by his brother, Harvey (Helen) Layton, Bountiful; sister, Sharlene (Don) Harden, AZ; three nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 1, 1999, at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd., where military honors will be accorded by the D.A.V. Honor Guard. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6-7 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main, and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
