Mr. Ready was united in marrage to Zetta M. Loshbough. and to this union was born 5 children, M. Winifred of Boulder Co Florence L. Cawthra of Denver Co James A. Ready of San Francisco CA Robert D. Ready and Ethelyn M. Ready of Denver CO all of whom with his wife and grand children Marjorie Cawthra, Erle M Cawthra Jr. Sydney H Andrews, Duane & Lenora Ready, are left to mourn the loss of a devoted husband, father, & grand father. He is also surrived by one sister, Mrs Mary Spratt who lives in Iowa. A large number of nieces & nephews & a host of friends.

When very young Mr Ready moved with his parents to Illinois & grew to manhood in that state. At the age of 26 he moved to NE. Locating at Holdrege, from there he came to Co. where in 1886 he filed on a homestead S.W. of Burlington. About 1889 soon after the Rock Island Railroad was built in the eastern part of the state he moved to Claremont (now Stratton) he worked at various occupations untill 1905 when he set up a blacksmith business of his own, which trade he loved & followed until a few years ago due to his failing health he was forced to retire. He had been very active & made a host of friends during the 55 years of his life in Colorado. A kindly friend is laid to rest, in this like all things god knoweth best.
