Son of John and Joanna (Miller) Roe.
Born: January 20, 1740 in Port Jefferson, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
Died: January 11, 1820 in Westfield (now Shelden), Long Island, New York.
Buried: Roe Family Cemetery, Shelden, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
Military Service: Served in the French and Indian War and was a Captain 2nd Regiment New York troopsin the Revolutionary War.
Description: "...rather under the average stature, dark of eyes and complexion, quick and active in his bearing...."
Married: Deborah Brewster April 22, 1762 in New York State.

His family suffered greatly at the hands of the British and had to flee to Connecticut.
